Seriously!!!!
Unless you are training for a sport of some sort that requires you to lose "weight" there is really no need for it!
I personally don't even own a scale, I go to my local gym and use one there.
Fact~ Weight loss is not the same as fat loss!!!
Your scale weight only tells you how much your body weighs~ muscle, fat, bones, organs, undigested food, water etc. It doesn’t tell you if you have a high body-fat percentage, a large amount of muscle mass, or carrying a lot of water.
Fact~ Muscle weighs more than fat!!!
This means… you can lose a lot of fat, gain a little muscle and not change your scale weight AT ALL. The more muscular you are, the tighter, firmer, and thinner you appear, even if you never lose a pound!
Have you ever heard the phrase “Skinny fat”
Skinny fat is when the body still has a thin appearance and your weight is within the normal range but your percentage of body fat versus lean body mass, pretty much says you are overweight.
~ In layman's terms... Two people who weigh the same, but look totally different ~
So, when tracking your progress, utilize more effective tools such as:
~ Body fat calipers
~ Tape measures
~ Mirrors
~ Your clothes
~ Pictures
~ Other people
Focus more on “Fat loss” not “Weight loss” & fat loss is achieved with healthy eating habits (not a fad diet) and a consistent exercise routine!
With this in mind... you can become more conscious of your goals!!
