The Beauty of a Woman

For attractive lips, speak words of kindness.

For lovely eyes, seek out the good in people.

For a slim figure, share your food with the hungry.

For beautiful hair, let a child run his or her fingers through it once a day.

For poise, walk with the knowledge that you never walk alone.

People, even more than things, have to be restored, renewed, revived, reclaimed, and redeemed; never throw out anyone.

Remember, if you ever need a helping hand, you'll find one at the end of each of your arms.

As you grow older, you will discover that you have two hands, one for helping yourself, the other for helping others.

The beauty of a woman is not in
the clothes she wears,
the figure she carries,
or the way she combs her hair.

The beauty of a woman
must be seen from her eyes,
because that is the doorway to her heart,
the place where love resides.

is not in a facial mole,

Throw Your Scale Away




Seriously!!!!

Unless you are training for a sport of some sort that requires you to lose "weight" there is really no need for it!

I personally don't even own a scale, I go to my local gym and use one there.

Fact~ Weight loss is not the same as fat loss!!!

Your scale weight only tells you how much your body weighs~ muscle, fat, bones, organs, undigested food, water etc. It doesn’t tell you if you have a high body-fat percentage, a large amount of muscle mass, or carrying a lot of water.

Fact~ Muscle weighs more than fat!!!

This means… you can lose a lot of fat, gain a little muscle and not change your scale weight AT ALL. The more muscular you are, the tighter, firmer, and thinner you appear, even if you never lose a pound!

Have you ever heard the phrase “Skinny fat”




Skinny fat is when the body still has a thin appearance and your weight is within the normal range but your percentage of body fat versus lean body mass, pretty much says you are overweight.

~ In layman's terms... Two people who weigh the same, but look totally different ~

So, when tracking your progress, utilize more effective tools such as:

~ Body fat calipers

~ Tape measures

~ Mirrors

~ Your clothes

~ Pictures

~ Other people

Focus more on “Fat loss” not “Weight loss” & fat loss is achieved with healthy eating habits (not a fad diet) and a consistent exercise routine!

With this in mind... you can become more conscious of your goals!!



Hair Talk ~ "Pre Pooing"






There are some steps in your hair care regimen that just should not be skipped and pre-pooing is one of them.
What is a Pre poo....
Pre-Poo is a shortened term for Pre-Shampoo.  It is the process of treating your hair before you shampoo.
The reason we shampoo our hair is to get rid of all the build-up~ oils, dirt, skin particles, dandruff, environmental pollutants etc, from the scalp. Unfortunately, some shampoos can be very stripping~ meaning it can take away the hair's natural oils, leaving it very dry!
Applying a treatment to your hair and scalp BEFORE you shampoo gives your hair the opportunity to get the moisture it may need. It also helps prevent a flaky, dry, scalp. 
The process of pre-pooing will vary from person to person. I usually pre-poo overnight by applying coconut oil, castor oil or EVOO-extra virgin olive oil to my hair and covering it with a plastic cap. The next morning, I rinse and proceed to wash.
The benefits of pre-pooing include increase shine, easier detangling, increased moisturizing and strength.  Also, if you use a drying shampoo (something full of sulfates) a pre-poo can sort of prep your hair and help it stand up the shampoo, which means it will be less likely to feel squeaky clean and stripped of all it's moisture.

The Power in Appreciation







Gratitude is the most powerful vibration there is for attracting goodness into your life.
When we practice gratitude on a regular basis we allow our hearts to open up. The heart is what connects us with other people, giving us the power to love and be loved. We also learn how to stay humble while enjoying what life has to offer every single day.
During my teenage years, I can remember a conversation I had with an older gentleman about life. During the conversation, I remember saying…. “I am so lucky” that I don’t have the life some other people have. He replied saying, “No, you are so Blessed!”
It was literally from that point on, that I removed the word lucky out of my vocabulary!
Since then, I have learned that when we are constantly aware and grateful for our blessings, we are placed in a position to receive more blessings!
The Law of Attraction and The Power of Appreciation work hand and hand. They both start working for you, the minute you start being grateful for the things that you have in your life, now!
When you are appreciative… your mind shifts, your focus shifts, your emotions shifts, making your life shift into a more positive direction. We are so blessed & sometimes do not even realize it!
~The more your appreciate, the more you attract, what you appreciate~
~It’s really that simple~

Who doesn't know JNL~ Jennifer Nicole Lee ?!

She's one of the most accomplished  fitness models around!!

She is best known for her inspirational story of losing over 80lbs after her 2 children and winning the Miss Bikini USA title in 2005!



Not only does she have numerous books and motivational tapes BUT an AWESOME YouTube channel!!!

Everyone knows exercising can be very boring and tedious!!

I mean really, who wants to work out. We do it because we want to look good and be healthy!
